William (Bill) John Lore

William (Bill) John Lore, 78 of Salida Colorado…………Son of Betty (West) Lore and William J. Lore Sr. died December 17, 2023 in Salida.

He is survived by his wife Judy (Repine) Lore of Salida, CO, his brother Barry and sister-in-law Janice of Blairsville, PA, and his brother-in-law Thomas Repine and sister-in0law Nancy Repine of Salida, CO. His golden retrievers Willow and Sage were dear to him, and will miss him so much.

Bill was a high school computer and social studies teacher for 31 years at Penn Cambria High School in Cresson, Pennsylvania. He was into running and bike riding in the early years of mountain biking. He continued mountain biking when he and Judy moved to Salida in 1998. He was also a fan of ATVing and hiking, and climbed several fourteeners.

Camping in Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico and Arizona were some of his summer pursuits. Many of their dogs accompanied him and Judy as well.

There will be no services per the family’s wishes.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make donations of your choice to your favorite charity in Bill’s name. One of Bill’s favorites is the Ark-Valley Humane Society.
