Vivian Elaine Hopton

Vivian Elaine Hopton, age 74, of Salida, passed away on Monday March 7, 2022 at her home in Salida, CO after a 15 year battle with cancer. Ms. Hopton was born on May 5, 1947 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Russell William and Corrine (Grove) Pine. Ms. Hopton lived in Tiro/New Washington, OH until 1963 when she and her family moved to Fairborn, Ohio where she graduated from Fairborn High School in 1965. She lived in Fairborn, OH until 1987 when she moved to Torrington, Wyoming to be closer to her sister until 2009 at which time she moved to Salida, CO to be closer to her daughter. Ms. Hopton enjoyed flower gardening, puzzles and traveling with her daughter and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Tony Hopton, and sister Carol Reyes. She is survived by her daughter Jessica (Lee) Shawhan of Salida, CO, brother Alan (Lori) Pine, sister Sherry (Ken) Cooper of Casper, WY, grandchildren Dayton Hopton, Riley (Hayden) Sich, Reid Shawhan and great granddaughter Amelia Elaine Sich. Funeral Services are set for 10:00 AM Saturday March 12, 2022 at Colyer Funeral Home in Torrington, Wyoming. Interment will follow at Valley View Cemetery in Torrington.
