Tim attended Montezuma High School then graduated from Dodge City Community College with an associate’s degree in business. Tim loved to run, and he could often be found on the roads of town in all types of weather. He started his career as a carry-out-boy in Montezuma, KS while still in High School. As he started college, he worked at Dodge City IGA and was soon promoted to store manager. In later years he co-owned the Grant County IGA Grocery Store in Ulysses, KS. After selling the store, Tim moved to Tulsa, OK and worked as Director of Advertising for two grocery wholesalers, Hale Halsell and Affiliated Foods, for a combined 13 years. He and Marna then moved to Bonner Springs, KS where he finished his career selling insurance for Allstate before needing to retire due to his Lewy Body diagnosis.
Tim is survived by his wife Marna Erhart, sisters Linda Erhart and Vicki Baker, daughter Kristi Torline and son-in-law Kevin Torline, son Jason Erhart, grandchildren Ashton Erhart and Olivia Erhart, and Kiernee and Kentri Torline, great-granddaughter Ivey Erhart, Nephews Cory and Kevin Eggers, Nieces Andy Hawkins and Savannah Patt.
