With deep love and gratitude for a beautiful life, we announce the passing of Susan Ellen “Sue” Behrman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who went home to be with the Lord on February 13th at the age of 60.
For 36 wonderful years, she was the devoted wife of William Scott Behrman, and together they shared a life rooted in faith in Jesus, love, ministry and adventure. Their journey together was marked by a special bond that words often could not express. Scott often said that she spoke to him through her eyes—eyes that reflected kindness, wisdom, humor, and a deep love for the people and the world around her.
She had a remarkable way of seeing beauty in God's creation. Whether standing beside the ocean, gazing at mountain landscapes, or exploring new places around the world, she found joy in the wonders of God’s handiwork. Those travels became treasured memories for both of them, reminders of the beauty of life and the faithfulness of God.
Her life was a testimony of quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering faith. She loved deeply and gave generously of her heart to family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her gentle spirit and warm presence made others feel welcomed, valued, and loved.
She is lovingly survived by her husband of 36 years, William Scott Behrman, along with son, William Bryce Behrman, wife Jaanai Romero Behrman and grandboy, Lennon, daughter, Megan Rae Behrman, Parents, Richard Hogan and Jeanne Hogan, siblings, Barbara Flynn Hogan, Rick Hogan, Jane Bebermeyer Jim Hogan, and many dear family and friends whose lives were blessed by her kindness and grace.
Though our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice in the promise of Christ and the assurance that she is now in the presence of the Lord she loved so dearly. The love she shared, the faith she lived, and the beauty she saw in life will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Clearview Community Church, 457 Rodeo Rd. Buena Vista, CO on Thursday March 19, 2026 at 2:00pm where family and friends will gather to remember, honor, and give thanks for the life she lived so beautifully.
She may no longer speak to us through her eyes, but the love reflected in them will remain in our hearts forever.
