Shirley Thornhill Obituary
On Wednesday, September 23, 2020, Shirley Anne Bowen Thornhill, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away at the age of 84. Shirley was born on November 25, 1935 in Cuero, Texas to Seymour and Bessie (Phillips) Bowen.
She met the love of her life at age 15 and, on February 26, 1955, she married Jerry Terrell Thornhill. They raised one daughter, Jere Ann, and two sons, Timothy and Michael.
Shirley loved the Lord first and her family second. She dedicated herself to her husband and children. She cared for their physical needs by making a home filled with love and acceptance and their spiritual needs by living every day as an obedient child of God and fervent prayer warrior.
Shirley was preceded in death by her father, Seymour, mother, Bessie, and brothers Clarence (Bubba) and Wayne. She is survived by her husband, Jerry, three children, Jere Ann, Tim, and Mike, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren - the gems in her crown.
Shirley’s life will be celebrated in Buena Vista, Colorado on October 17, 2020 and in her native Texas on her birthday on November 25, 2020.
