Raymond Alfonso Vigil

Born August 15,1943 in Hotchkiss Colorado.  

On November 20,2022 Raymond lost his  battle with cancer, surrounded by his family at home in Saguache, Colorado.

Raymond was a hard working family man. In his younger years he was a member of the Labors Union and later became a member of heavy equipment Operators Union, in retirement Raymond became a security officer. 

Raymond enjoyed the outdoors, hunting , fishing and looking for arrowheads.

He also spent time chipping his own arrowheads and spear points. Ray always enjoyed watching Bronco’s football. 

Raymond leaves behind wife Laurie Vigil of Saguache.

Aimee Merkley((Phil Boggs), Nathaniel Merkley, Harley (Adrian) Delos Reyes, Anthony (Stephanie), Mariah, Monique Vigil, Aaron Hersch (Sam Brown), Draven, Corbyn Vigil, Kaydence Stephenson, JoJo, Addy, Livia Vigil, Damien, Hailey and Remy Ross, Cierra Lynchard, Gage McGregor. 

13 Great-grand children:

Brothers Joe (Carmen) Vigil, John (JoAnne) Vigil, and sisters Christine Cale, Merlin Montoya,Maryann Mondragon, Delores (Sam) Gallegos and Angie Vigil. 

Raymond was preceded in death by Parents Joe and Estella Vigil, sisters Elisabeth Avila, Cecil Rivera, Ruth Archuleta, brothers Walter and Tommy Vigil.

Mass @ St. Ages in Saguache, Colorado 11am December 3,2022

Dinner. @ The Oasis Saguache, Colorado 12 noon follows Mass
