Obituary for Naomi “Lee” Mathews
Naomi Lee (Mallow) Mathews died February 13, 2024, at Columbine Manor Care Center. She was born July 29, 1938, in Palmer, Missouri to Walter F. Mallow and Verna L. (Bockenkamp) Mallow. Naomi was the youngest of seven children.
Naomi married Maurice Mathews on March 11,1957, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They had two children, a daughter, Terri and a son, Robert.
Mr. and Mrs. Mathews both retired from the Mountain Bell Corp.
Mrs. Matthews’ Catholic Church was very important to her. She served on many committees as well as helping in the Parish Office.
Mrs. Mathews was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Terri Plewes and son, Robert. She is survived by her Granddaughter, Stephanie (Nathan) Nelson, Grandson, Darryl Baker, Great Grandsons, Hunter Redmon and Dylan Bailey, and Son-in-law, Charley Plewes.
A Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 am March 2, 2024, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. A private Grave Site Service will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
