Michael Raymond Scott

Michael "Mike" Raymond Scott, age 58, died Wednesday, November 15th, 2023, at the Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center in Salida, CO, with loved ones by his side.

Mike was born July 1st, 1965 in Chicago, IL, to Raymond and Patricia Kirchoff. Mike graduated from Wilmont High School in 1983. He also received his Project Management Degree from Colorado State University.

Over the years, Mike was a business owner, self-employed contractor, EMT Ranger with the Colorado State Parks & Wildlife and owner of Creative Digital Billboards, providing Salida with its very own digital billboard.

Mike was blessed with seven wonderful children; Jessica, Michael, Christopher, Amber, Derek, Jeremy and Joshua. He was active in his community and enjoyed spending his time supporting his children in every aspect that he could.

Mike is survived by his dear mother, Patricia Scott; his children: Jessica Nolan, Michael Scott, Christopher Scott, Amber (Edgar) Armenta, Derek (Brianna) Scott, Jeremy (Karissa) Scott, Joshua Scott; thirteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; Jamie Turner; Beth Topper; Sister Robin Vollmer-Antes.

Mike is preceded in death by his father Raymond Kirchoff; his grandson, Austyn Scott; and his grandparents.

Mike was a devoted loving father who was recognized as an icon in his community who changed the lives of many.

The Memorial and Visitation will be held Saturday, December 9th, 2023 at the First Presbyterian Church in Salida, CO at 10:00 am; followed by his Celebration of Life at the Elks Lodge in Salida.
