Michael passed away on May 21, 2020 after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. He married the love of his life Dolores (Pfister) Rudy on September 9, 1950. They were blessed with five children: Michael (Christi) Rudy of Arvada, CO; Joseph (Leslie) Rudy of Nederland, CO; Maura Kochevar of Las Cruces, NM; Christine (Jeff) Tetrick of Denver, CO; and Mary (Dave) Anaya of Denver, CO. Along with his children, loving wife and a brother Donald Rudy, he is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by beloved grandson, Tyler Tetrick. Michael grew up in Harbor Creek and Erie, PA and was a star baseball pitcher. After several moves across the U.S., he settled in Denver CO in 1960. He remained there until his retirement in 1993 when he and Dolores moved to their beloved home in Salida, CO. "Mike" was an expert aircraft mechanic at United Airlines. He filled any free time by hunting, fishing, dancing and golf. Mike was a giving man and was always ready to lend a hand as "Mr. Fixit". He was generous in so many ways including volunteering and donating every extra dollar to those in need. A private graveside service with be conducted in Salida with a Memorial Mass to be scheduled later this Summer.
