Mary A. Drake

Mary Adell Crawford was born on May 2, 1936 at Dawson, Nebraska to Lorin and Nora Crawford. She was the 5th child of 16 children. She married Victor Merle Drake June 11, 1954 in Taos, MN, they had four children Leona, Bobby, Eddie and Richard. Eleven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great, great, grandchildren. Mary is survived by her children Leona (Jack) of Linneus, Missouri, Eddie (Mary) of Moffat, Colorado, Richard (Virginia) of Moffat, Colorado. All of her great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Sisters Phillis Van Ripper, Pauline Weber, Lois Baker and Doris Van Ness. Brothers Raymond Crawford and Freeman Crawford as well as over 100 nieces and nephews that she thought the world of. She is preceded in death by her parents Lorin and Nora Crawford, husband Merle Drake, son Bobby Drake, brothers Clarence Crawford, Harold Crawford and David Crawford. Sisters Viola Koch, Violet Mclaren, Marjorie Havens, Eileen Havens, Loriane Twite and Yvonne Crawford. Mary and her husband Merle ran a dairy farm in Missouri for several years and moved back to Colorado in 1978. Mary was a very good cook and she loved to sew, making quilts that she mostly gave away. Mary worked hard in a garden every year and canned most of the food her family ate. Mary loved her family, friends, but loved the Lord most of all. Graveside services are set for 11:00 AM Saturday July 30, 2022 at the Villa Grove Cemetery. On line condolences may be sent to the family at lewisandglenn.com.
