Leona Meier Obituary

Leona Mae Meier of Salida died on September 11, 2018. She was born in Nyssa, Oregon on August 4, 1934 to Arthur and Ester Hieter.

She was an avid reader and worked as a cook for over 30 years. She has lived in Salida since 2007.

She was preceded in death by her father Arthur, her mother Ester, her husband Alfred, sisters Eva and Maxine and her brothers Ben, Oscar, Everett and Robert.

She is survived by her sister Evelyn Schultz (Worley, Idaho), her daughters Lois Garvey and Donna Adams, her grandchildren Sandy (Adams) Gandera, Jeremy Urich, Lisa (Garvey) Mellick and her great-grandchildren Caleb Eck, Lillianna Gallegos and Sydney Kendall-Urich.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home.
