Leisa M Hust

Leisa M. Hust(Glass), of Salida, passed away on September 17, 2024 at the age of 53 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Leisa grew up in Orchard Park, NY before attending and graduating from Miami(OH) University. A few years later, she moved out west, living in San Francisco, Durango, CO, Ashland, OR, and northern New Mexico before settling in Salida, CO. Here, she shared her passion of organic farming, skilled handcrafting and irreverent humor with the Salida community. Leisa’s radiant smile and strong laughter will be missed tremendously by those who knew her. She is survived by her parents, William R. and Judith J. Glass, her brother, Scott J. Glass, her daughter, Reya Sunshine, her son, Jayden A. Hust, and by her husband, Thaddeus R. Hust. The family asks in lieu of donations, that those who knew her or even didn’t know her, gift a flower(s) to your own loved ones and hold them close and sacred.
