Judith Elaine Laub

Judith Elaine Laub, a beloved lifelong resident of Salida, Colorado, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on July 6, 1943, in Salida, Judi dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and the community she loved.

A devoted homemaker, Judi poured her heart into caring for those around her. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and open arms. She was the cornerstone of her family, offering love and support with quiet strength and grace.

Judi was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Gene Laub; her brothers Butch Plewes and Russel Plewes. She is survived by her son, Robert Wayne Laub (Glynis); her daughter, Cindy Laub; grandsons Michael and Justin Jacobson (Kathryn); and great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Jaxson, Logan, and Robert Jacobson. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings Joyce Ashley (James), Charley Plewes, Gary Plewes (Gloria), and Pamela Eggelston (Micah).

Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. Judi served faithfully as church treasurer for many years, a role that reflected her integrity, trustworthiness, and commitment to service. She was a familiar face and a friend to many—always ready for a conversation, a shared memory, or a good laugh.

Judi had a lifelong love for Colorado sports and was a dedicated fan of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Avalanche. Whether watching a game or chatting with friends and family, her enthusiasm was contagious.

Judi’s kindness, humor, and caring spirit touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
