Judith Lynne (Bell) Lyons

Judith Lynne (Bell) Lyons, a long-time Erie, PA resident, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023 at MorningStar Assisted Living in Fort Collins, Colorado. Judy was born in Salida, Colorado on October 14, 1941 to Melvin and Maxine Bell. She was a graduate of Salida High School. Judy and her former husband, Wendall (Wendy) Lyons, raised 3 children as Wendy’s career with General Electric took them from Denver, Colorado to Waveland, Mississippi and to Erie, Pennsylvania. Judy was a lady with many friends and interests including golf, bridge, skiing, and loved to travel internationally and spend time in Colorado. She enjoyed volunteering and was a member of many local clubs and organizations. She also obtained her bachelor’s degree from Penn State Behrend in 1985 with a major in Management and minor in Economics. Judy is survived by her son Christopher Lyons (Erie, PA), daughter Tracy (Lyons) Pealer (Pittsburg), grandchildren Jessica Pealer, Adam Pealer, and Grant Walker. Her great grandchildren are Lucille Pealer, Dominick Jack Maiolie, Robert Maioli, and Frank Maiolie III. She is also survived by her brother, Rex Bell (Fort Collins). Judy was preceded in death by her son, Vincent Lyons, and brothers, Douglas Bell and Robert Klarenbach. Judy spent the last months of her life in Fort Collins with Rex and his family. A mass was held for Judy on July 31st at St. John XXIII Catholic Church in Fort Collins. She will be laid to rest with a private service in Salida, Colorado on September 12th at 10:30 am.
