Joseph Norman Vieira (Norm) was born to New Mexico rancher Jose Vieira and Susana Susie Gomes in Albuquerque NM on Christmas Day 1940. Norm grew up in a large loving family and moved to Colorado in the early 1950's. He met his future wife, Barbara Haynes at Wheatridge High School and working at Dutch Mill Bakery. Norm and Barb worked a career in the bakery industry that would take them around the world. They raised two children Jeanette and Joe. He loved bicycling and would say it set him free. His many Salida CO friends knew they could find him riding Chaffee County 291 on his recumbent trike or working wood. Norm is survived by his older brother Phil and his wife Carol, his younger sister Cynthia and husband Mike, their very loved families, his daughter and son, their spouses Pat and Della, and grandchildren Connor, McKenzie, and Brendon.
