Joseph Lee Miller Sr.

Joseph Lee Miller Sr. died January 22, 2020 in Salida, CO at the age of 78.

Born February 4, 1941 to Dorothy (Thompson) and Wilbert Miller Sr. he grew up in Wichita, Kansas.

 Joe graduated from Wichita State University in 1963 with a degree in Business.

Throughout his life, Joe used this degree to own and operate numerous businesses in Kansas, Texas and Colorado. 

Joe enjoyed traveling, sailing, fishing and “porchin”. He also enjoyed giving everyone their own personal nick name’s especially the grandkids.

He was preceded in death by parents Dorothy and Wilbert Miller Sr., brother Wilbert (Sonny) Miller Jr., son Joseph Lee Miller Jr. and grandson Samuel Miller.

Survivors include his wife Barbara, daughters:  Kim (Darrell), Angela, Piper (Wayne), step-daughter Nicole (Cory) and step son Andrew (Kylie) and Daughter-in-law Tamara. Grandchildren: Gable (Katie), Christopher, Madison (Adam), Cabot, Glory (Ryan), Meghan (Josh), Zoe, Gracy, Eli, Seri, Georgia, Bryce, and Great grandson River.  Brother Ronald (Betty), and numerous Nieces and Nephew’s,  Cousins and other relatives.  Last but not least his very loved and devoted companion Martwoni.

A celebration of his life will take place at Salida Elks Lodge, 148 2nd St., Salida, CO on February 8th, 2020 from 11:00 to 1:00.
