Joseph F DeLuca

Joseph Frank DeLuca passed away peacefully on Saturday December 12, 2020 after reaching the age of 95 years old. Joe was born in Salida on September 14, 1925, to father Henry DeLuca and mother Rose (Veltri) DeLuca. Joe was a lifelong resident of Salida. In 1948, he met the love of his life, Lucy (Salerno) DeLuca. Joe and Lucy were happily married for 72 years and raised three sons. Together, they founded DeLuca Gas Company in 1967. Together they successfully grew and ran the family business for 37 years. Joe was a strong, hardworking, family man with a great sense of humor and many friends. He is loved and will be missed by many! Mr. DeLuca is survived by his loving wife, Lucy DeLuca; Children, Joseph and Connie DeLuca, Frank and Deanna DeLuca, and Patrick DeLuca; Grandchildren, Jason and Briana DeLuca, Jennifer and John Hesling, and Lucy DeLuca; Great Grandchildren, Alyson DeLuca, Audrey DeLuca, Emma Hesling, and Kaylee Hesling; Sisters, Mary Boardman and Henrietta Hehn; and other beloved friends and family. A private family ceremony was held to celebrate Joe’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Joe DeLuca memorial fund, Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Salida.
