Jean Marie Bauer

Jean Marie Bauer, age 69, of Nathrop, CO, passed away on Thursday June 27, 2019 at Heart of The Rockies Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Bauer was born June 29, 1949 to Donald and Helen (Ryan) Richardson.

Mrs. Bauer married Scott Bauer on April 11, 1969. The couple moved to Colorado 37 years ago and to Nathrop, CO 19 years ago.

She enjoyed TeleMark skiing, cross country, mountain biking, was an avid gardener, wildflower identification, riding horses and was a dog and cat lover.

Mrs. Bauer was the Medical Director for the first two years of the Leadville 100. She was also on the Leadville City Council for two terms.

Mrs. Bauer was preceded in death by her parents and brother Donald Richardson.

She is survived by her husband ScottBauer of Nathrop, CO and son Ian Bauer of Vail, CO. Brothers George (Connie), Bob (Lourdes) Phil (Mary Jo) and Jim(Barbara) Richardson. Sisters Nancy, Marilyn (Dick), Barbara (John) and Patti (Bob). Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Service will be held at a later date.
