James Albert Alloy passed away on July 5, 2023. He was born to Pete and Mary Alloy October 5, 1946 in Salida, Colorado. He was a lifelong resident of Salida. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a part of the Knights of Columbus, VFW, and Elks club. He loved his Italian heritage, food, hunting, fishing, playing pool, mushroom hunting in the mountains, and above all, he cherished his time with his daughters and granddaughters who were all the lights of his life.
He is survived by his three daughters Shauna Alloy (Randy Carricato) of Salida, Mindy (Kevin)Diaz of Pueblo, and Crystal Alloy of Canon City, His two granddaughters Brianna Collins and Tiana (Jade) Modrzejewski, ex- wife Eileen Alloy, and many cousins and friends.
James was preceded in death by his Father Pete Alloy, Mother Mary Alloy, Brother Sam Alloy, and Niece Laura Alloy.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday July 14, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Salida. Interment will follow the service in the Poncha Springs Cemetery. A gathering will be held following the graveside service at the Salida Elk's Lodge from approximately 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. He will be missed by many.
