Floyd Harold Millage, a long-time resident of Salida, died peacefully and unexpectedly in his sleep November 20, 2019, 3 days short of his 90th birthday.
He was born in Norton, Kansas and grew up in Muscatine, Iowa. He moved to Tucson in 1957 at the age of 28. He relocated to Salida in 1968, where he worked at Safeway until retirement in 1991. He made many great friendships there and met the love of his life and bride to be. He and Judith Armstrong Dennison married February 20, 1999. They loved dancing at the Elks, travel and spending time with family.
He was a member of search and rescue and loved to hike and jeep the area.
He is survived by his wife Judy, stepdaughter Julie (Mike) Johnson of Colorado Springs and stepson Gregg (Carrie) Dennison of Spearfish, SD and 6 grandchildren.
He is survived by his son Robert Millage of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and by his daughter Patricia (Marcia) Millage of Maple Valley, WA.
He is also survived by his nephew Mike (Kitty) Millage of Tucson, AZ.
His dear friends of many years, Ken and Marilyn Ross and Don and Jola Adams miss their daily calls with him.
As per his wishes, no services were held.
Arrangements were with Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home in Salida.
