Donna Reasoner

Cedaredge/Leadville resident Donna Kathryn Reasoner passed quietly at home on Thursday December 8th.  She was attended by family members.

Donna was born on November 14, 1934 to Randolph and Edith (Wells) Hollensbe in Seiling Oklahoma.  She graduated from Seiling High School.  After graduating she worked as a secretary.  On November 3rd, 1952, Donna married Kenneth A Reasoner.  To this union three children were born: Cindy, Ed and Kathy.  Following their wedding Donna and Kenneth moved to Leadville Colorado where they raised their family.  Donna worked as an executive secretary for many years.  She was active in her local church, playing the piano and organ and singing alto in choirs and small groups.  She was an excellent seamstress, enjoying making dresses for her grandchildren.  Her talent is displayed in a beautiful 1800's costume she made for the premier of “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” which debuted in Leadville.  She was also a great cook, always looking for and trying new recipes.  Donna was always a gracious hostess.

After retiring, Donna and Kenneth moved to Cedaredge where they built a home and enjoyed all the outdoor activities and friends that the Grand Mesa offered.

Donna is survived by Cynthia Marshall (Amanda Stinnett), Edward Reasoner (Carol McCartney) and Kathryn Reasoner (Trisha Neimi), her brother Leonard (Rusty) Hollensbe (Rose), and her sister in law Jane Reasoner.  Donna is further survived by four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth, one sister and two brothers.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Lewis and Glenn Funeral Services in Salida Co.  No service will be held at this time.  A memorial will be held on the Grand Mesa, to be announced later this summer.
