David Leroy DeLuca

David Leroy DeLuca, age 73, lifelong resident of of Salida, passed away on November 30, 2021 at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. Dave was born July 1, 1948 in Salida, CO to Francis and Theresa (Veltri) DeLuca. Dave married Debbie Ochs on July 12, 1969 in Salida, CO at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a life long member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Dave worked and retired from Salida Post Office. Dave enjoyed many years of coaching and running the Babe Ruth Baseball program. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and going for walks. He experienced great joy when spending time with family and friends. Dave was preceded in death by his parents and brother Duke DeLuca. He is survived by his wife Debbie DeLuca of Salida, CO, sons Jeff (Jessica) DeLuca of Scottsbluff, NE and Aaron (Gretchen) DeLuca of Centennial, CO. Daughter Jenny (Scott Gorman) of Arvada, CO, brother Jim (Linda) DeLuca of Salida, CO, grandchildren Kylar DeLuca, Aeneas DeLuca, Collin Cabe and Madalyn Cabe. Mass of Christian Burial is set for 11:00 AM Friday December 10, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
