Carolyn June (Ramey) Hall of Aurora, Colorado died on September, 26th, 2018, at Chelsea Place Care Home in Aurora. She was born on May 8, 1930, in Salida, Colorado to Jay and Lova (Pack) Ramey.
Mrs. Hall attended Longfellow grade school in Salida, and graduated from Salida High school in 1948. She attended Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma and graduated with a B. A. degree, majoring in Spanish. She did post graduate work at Mexico City College, in Mexico City. After college, she taught high school Spanish in Goodland, Kansas, and was then employed by the Denver office of United Air Lines, in the office of space control.
She married Frederick L. Hall at the Park Hill Methodist Church in Denver on May 28, 1966. They made their home in Aurora, Colorado, where the bridegroom was an engineer for Stanley Aviation. They had one daughter together, Julie Hall. During her married years, she was very active in the Galilee Baptist Church in Aurora. Anyone that knew Carolyn well knew the strong love she had for her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren. She loved baking and cooking for her family and enjoyed having everyone together for the holidays. She was especially loved and cherished by those who called her “Grandma Carol.” She enjoyed playing games with Fred and her family, especially dominoes. You could always find her with a smile upon her face.
Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her parents. Her survivors include her husband, Fred of Aurora, Daughter, Julie of Salida, grandchildren, Jay and Kim Peterson of Colorado Springs, Hannah and Jacob Hall of Gonzales, Louisiana, brother, Donald Ramey of Mesa, Arizona, son-in –law, Ricky Hall, of Gonzales, Louisiana - who served as her power of attorney, and cousins Charles and Tiss Johnson of Grand Junction, Lynn Adkins of Albuquerque, and Bob spears of Long Beach, California.
A Graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday September 29, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery in Salida, Colorado. Arrangements are with Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at lewisandglenn.com
