Surrounded by family and friends, Barbara passed away on February 10, 2024 in her home in Buena Vista.
Barbara was born on March 11, 1934 at the Cook County Hospital Chicago, ILL. Barbara met her loving husband Edward Eugene Stauffer in Buena Vista and were married in Yuma, AZ on March 21, 1953 while Edward was stationed in San Diego, CA while in the Navy.
Barbara was a loving wife to Edward and devoted to her three children while Edward worked at the Climax mine for 30 years. Barbara loved to knit, crochet, draw, while working on her stamp collection. Barbara worked at the polling booths during elections, worked at the Buena Vista Drug Store and was a AVON representative for 30 years.
Barbara is survived by her three children, Jeffery Stauffer (Christine Arguello) in Grand County, Connie Marrs of Buena Vista, and Roger Stauffer (Patricia Willis) of Buena Vista, grandchild Jordan Poindexter (Jimi) of Roslyn, WA, great grandchildren Austin Stauffer of Kremmling, CO, Benji and Delilah Poindexter of Roslyn, WA, sister Arlene Vandeveer (California), sister Betty Eleneki, (Hawaii).
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents William B. Benson and Francis B. Morris, her husband Edward Stauffer, granddaughter Leslie Stauffer, sister Edna Rassmusson, sister Ester Maxwell, and brother Bill Service.
Barbara was a devoted wife and mother spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all.
The family would like to thank Patricia for all the devotion, loving care and duties she performed while taking care of our mother.
