Barbara Jean Reynolds

Barbara Jean Gordon Reynolds passed away on August 29th, 2024, at Columbine Care Center in Salida, CO.

Barbara was born November 8th, 1934, to Zelma Moore and Hyson Gordon in Platner, CO.

Barbara graduated from Climax High School in 1953. Shortly thereafter, she met the love of her life Norman (Pete) Reynolds. The two were joined in marriage on April 17th, 1954. Pete and Barbara moved to Salida in 1960 where they raised their two children, Roxan & Brad.

Barbara loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed working in her yard, cooking for her family and watching old westerns.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Pete, daughter Roxan Palmer, Sister Joyce Kostelc and Brother Forrest Gordon.

Survivors include, her son Brad Reynolds of Salida, grandchildren Michelle (Austin) Koch of Coaldale, CO; AJ (Jade) Palmer of Nathrop, CO; Jordan (Adam) Vogelsberg of Bondurant, IA; Cortney (Luke) Boylan of West Point, IA; and Brady Reynolds of Des Moines, IA. Great grandchildren Novalee and Roxan Koch, Cadence and Courtnee Palmer, Cooper & Brody Boylan and Jedd Vogelsberg. Sister, Ann Williams of Crane, TX and Brother Wally Gordon of Denver.

A private service was held on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024.

Arrangements were made with Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home in Salida, CO.
