Anthony Passarelli, age 86 of Salida, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at Heart of The Rockies Regional Medical Center. Tony was born on November 20, 1933 in Salida, Colorado. Tony was married to Mary (Taverna) and they had seven children Jim, Rocco, Frank, Sheila, Sandy, Mark, and Joey. They were married until her death in 1974. He later married Sara (Marble) with whom he had many great years and adventures. Tony served our country in the Army, fighting in the Korean War. He later worked for Climax, The US Postal Service, and The Salida Greenhouse. Tony was proud to serve our country; however, he was most proud of his family. He enjoyed making wine with them, Passarelli Dago Red – A Father and Son’s Production. Priceless memories were made with sitting on the patio with his family. Tony was a pro at crossword puzzles and loved reading books about the wild wild west. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary, his mother Frances, and his sister-in-law Derry Marble. He is survived by: His wife Sara, his brother Jimmy (Pat) Passarelli, and his seven children: Jim, Rocco (Lynnette), Frank (Dianne), Sheila, Sandy, Mark (Pam), Joey (Tara). Eight grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Sta ti Bueno e. Due to current restrictions, a private family burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery.
