Sharon D. Geist

Sharon Frances Dominick Geist peacefully passed away in Denver, Colorado on February 15, 2019 following a decades-long battle with multiple sclerosis.

Sharon was born November 29, 1940 in Trinidad, Colorado. She was adopted as an infant by George and Ruth Dominick of Villa Grove and Salida. Sharon graduated from Sagauche High School and attended what was then Western State College in Gunnison. She received her degree in elementary education and taught in the elementary school in Nunn, Colorado.

Sharon was quite an accomplished seamstress. She loved doing needlepoint, counted cross stitch and embroidery work and became quite adept at matting and framing her own work. Several of her pieces were displayed at the Chaffee County Fair in the early 1990's.

Sharon is survived by her sons Gregory (Shelley) Geist and Sean (Jill) Geist of Castle Rock, Colorado and grandchildren Bailey, Anaka and Dalton Geist.

Graveside funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday March 2, 2019 at Fairview Cemetery.
