Ralph Chrestensen Obituary

Ralph Andrew Chrestensen, 61, died Nov. 30, 2018.

He was born Aug. 20, 1957, in Parker to Donald and Nora (Rhoads) Chrestensen, the third of five children.

He graduated from Douglas County High School in 1976.

Family and friends said Mr. Chrestensen never met a stranger, and “everyone was a friend.”

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and four-wheeling with his brother Henry.

Family said he was happiest “up on his mountain in Salida.”

Mr. Chrestensen was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his son, Austin (Wendi) Chrestensen; grandsons, Jacob, Johnathan and Justin; brothers, Henry (Tina) Chrestensen and Eddie (Barb) Chrestensen; sisters, Nora (Tim) Winkleman and Clara Eckert; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen, and his ashes will be spread at a service this summer.

Arrangements are with Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home in Salida.
