Lucille Gardunio

Lucille (Lucero) Gardunio, 96 of Salida, died on September 28, 2018 at Mt. St. Francis Nursing Center in Colorado Springs.

Lucille was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother.  She was born in Salida in 1922 and attended Salida High School.  She married Jerry Gardunio in 1945, and they raised their family in Salida.  

She is survived by her son, Andrew Gardunio (Debbie), daughter, Barbara Francis (Dave) and son, Jerry Gardunio (Jill).   Grandchildren:  Ruby Hamilton, Ave Mansheim, Renee Burke, Adam Francis, Jake Gardunio, Mary Ann Gardunio, Sara Benson, Danny Gardunio.   Along with several great grandchildren. 

She was a life-long resident of Salida and parishioner of St Joseph's Catholic Church for 96 years.  Lucille was a friend to so many people and was loved by them.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday October 3, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM.

Interment will take place Thursday October 4, 2018 in Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
