Leon Jason Dragoon

Leon Jason Dragoon, 85, of Howard died Oct. 15, 2018.

He was born March 25, 1933.

Although Mr. Dragoon was a native of Maine, he called Colorado home.

He built his home on the river, where he and his wife, Mary Dragoon, lived for 35 years.

He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and traveled all over the world.

After his service, he ran a business, Lee’s Tile and Carpet.

His passions were fishing, skiing and classic cars.

Mr. Dragoon was preceded in death by his daughter Beck Dragoon and stepdaughter, Debra Jarrett.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years; children Charleen Mcelwaine, Shirlee Behringer, Aaron Dragoon and Heidi Laughlin; stepchildren Craig Scheever, David Scheever, Bob Scheever and Steve Scheever; 12 grandchildren; and family in Maine.

His service will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver at a date to be determined.

A memorial service for friends will be held at a later date.
