Lea Evert Masters, 95, died June 15, 2018, in Villa Grove.
She was born Jan. 8, 1923, in Georgia.
She traveled the world, first as a military wife and later with husband W.A. Masters.
Salida was home for her last few years, and her family and friends said she enjoyed it. They said she was devoted to her family, highly valued education and loved animals.
Survivors include her sons, Dana (Becky) Evert of Parker and Kim (Diane) Evert of Aledo, Texas; daughter, Amber (Jeff) Shook of Villa Grove; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Her memorial service will be at 10 a.m. July 6, 2018, at Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home in Salida, with graveside services following in Villa Grove Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Ark-Valley Humane Society.
