Joseph Kay Obituary
Joseph “Joe” Howard Kay, passed away on Friday May 18, 2018 in Fremont County, Colorado. Mr. Kay was born February 14, 1973 in Leadville, CO to Chuck and Georgia (Lamphier) Kay.
Mr. Kay grew up in Buena Vista and graduated from Buena Vista High School in 1991. He spent his life in Buena Vista where he loved to camp, fish, drive around in the hills, watching his sons play baseball and riding dirt bikes. He also loved to cook and spent many years cooking in numerous restaurants.
In 1993, He met Rachel Oversole who would later become his wife. They spent many years together and had two sons, Ryan and Tyler. Mr. Kay was a great man who would do anything for anyone. His pride and joy was his sons.
Mr. Kay is survived by his sons Ryan and Tyler and former wife Rachel Kay all of Buena Vista, CO. Father Chuck Kay of Buena Vista, mother Georgia Kay of Fountain, CO, sister Malisa (Darrell) Willis of Fountain, CO and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service is set for 11:00 AM Tuesday May 29, 2018 at Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will also be held from 1-4 PM Saturday June 2, 2018 at the VFW in Buena Vista, CO. In lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mr. Kay’s sons Ryan and Tyler Kay through Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home. On line condolences may be sent to the family at lewisandglenn.com.
