Grant Craig, 57, of Buena Vista died September 15th, 2018.
He was born July 31st, 1961 to Matilda and James Craig Sr.
Mr. Craig moved to Buena Vista in 2001 from Denver and never turned back. Throughout his life, he enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting, and seeing all of the beauty that nature offered. If he wasn't outdoors he was in the garage "fiddling".
Mr. Craig always had a project that he was working on, be it a car, motorcycle, boat, welding, upholstery, building or fixing something.
He was a mechanic at Swisher Diesel and Diesslin Structures, Inc.
He enjoyed being with friends and family and was a proud grandpa to his grandson Bradley. Family and friends said he was always teaching his grandson everything he was taught by his father.
When he could get the opportunity, Mr. Craig would go for a ride on his motorcycle, long rides to go see the Grand Canyon or short rides to go to a Broncos game in Denver. Family and friends said he enjoyed doing "anything to live free, ride hard, sun on his face, wind in his hair and never pass an opportunity to help someone out."
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother; daughter, Jessica Craig; grandson, Bradley; brothers, James Craig Jr., Dale Craig, and Robert Craig; sister Sharon Oliver; and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
His memorial services will be held at 12:30 PM September 22nd, 2018 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Buena Vista.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Grant Craig Memorial Fund at TBK Bank in Buena Vista.
