Brillie Deloris Marie Rush Ninman, 92, of Buena Vista, Colorado passed away on January 28, 2019 at her home. Marie was born on October 3, 1926 in El Reno, Canadian County, Oklahoma to John Howard Rush and Ida Mae Neathery Rush. Her husband, Wesley Ninman, her parents, two sisters, Juanita Marler and Viola Bryant, and her brother Lloyd Rush preceded her in death. Marie spent most of her younger life in El Reno. During WWII Marie went to Washington State and worked as a "Wendy the Welder". Cousin to the better known "Rosie the Riveter". When she returned to El Reno, she married Clifford Gambill and had three children. Marie was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in El Reno. Additionally also enjoyed sewing for family and friends. In the late 1950s Marie moved to Colorado with her three children. Marie married A.B.Thomerson in 1962 and they had one son. In 1986 Marie married Wesley Ninman. She continued to enjoy sewing, singing, and being with her family. Survivors include daughters Linda Gambill Watkins of Buena Vista, Doris, Jerry Todd of Colorado Springs. Sons Clifford "Buddy" Gambill, Colorado Springs, and Guy Thomerson of Buena Vista. Six granddaughters, Vanessa Lawrence of Buena Vista, Litonya Scrivner of Colorado Springs, Alethea Tafoya of Colorado Springs, Trachele Cole of New Mexico, Cora Thomerson of South Carolina and Catrina Neslege of Germany. One grandson Jerimy Cates of Greeley. 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She is also survived by her sister Pauline Rush Shannahan of Buena Vista, Co. andmany nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held in the spring with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Buena Vista, Colorado. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Heart of the Rockies Hospice, POB 1168 Salida, Colorado 81201 or to the charity of your choice.
