Alice Mitchell Obituary

Alice Colleen Mitchell, age 89 of Salida, passed away on Tuesday April 24, 2018 at Columbine Manor Care Center in Salida, CO.  Mrs. Mitchell was born December 13, 1928 in Salida, CO to Gaylord and Genevieve (Timney) Moore.

Mrs. Mitchell married Frank Elias Mitchell on January 4, 1947 in Salida, CO.  She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and was a very accomplished knitter.  Mrs. Mitchell was a past member of the ESA Sorority.

Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents and brother Lloyd Moore.  She is survived by her sons Mark (Kathy) Mitchell of Arvada, CO and Kurt (Beth) Mitchell of Windsor, CO.  Daughters Valarie (Barbara) Mitchell of Sarasota, FL, Jean (Bob) Ferraro of Salida, CO and Lori (Tanya Wait) Mitchell of Salida, CO.  Sister Sue Bayuk of Salida, CO, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Per Mrs. Mitchell’s wish there will be no services.  Friends who desire may make memorial contributions to the Veterans Expeditions through Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home.  On line condolences may be sent to the family at lewisandglenn.com.
