Alice Jay Obituary

Alice H. (Monson) Jay, 83, of Salida, passed away Tuesday January 15, 2019 at Valley View Health Care Center in Canon City, CO.

She was born November 23, 1935 in Gunnison, CO to William “Sweede” and Ida (Ficklin) Monson.

Alice was united in marriage to Joseph “Joby” Jay on June 25, 1955 in Taos, New Mexico.

She liked bowling in her younger years. She also enjoyed camping, hiking, picnics and watching her grandchildren play in sports.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph “Joby” Jay, sons Tim and Michael Jay, sisters Toddy Means, Evadna Criswell, Wilma Price, brother Bill Monson, brothers-in-law Fred Criswell and George Means.

She is survived by her daughter Connie (John) Cribari, grandchildren Johnny (Ashlie) Cribari and Justin (Tommie) Cribari, great grandchildren Kooper, Bre and Chase Cribari, brothers-in-law Chuck (Joanna) Jay and Chester Price.

Funeral services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital through Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home. Online condolences may be offered at lewisandglenn.com
