Alan David Criswell

Alan David Criswell died at home in Salida March 1, 2019.

He was born in Salida on Oct. 10, 1960, to Jerry and Joyce Criswell.

Growing up, he enjoyed tinkering in the garage and fishing with his father, as well as spending time in the kitchen with his mother. He also enjoyed lovingly arguing with his older sister Shannon.

He worked in carpentry and concrete finishing and also worked for the Salida School District.

Family members said Mr. Criswell was very artistic. He loved drawing and woodworking, creating some wonderful pieces.

He loved riding dirt bikes with his son Tyler, rock hounding and playing Frisbee golf with numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and niece Amy Marie Leewaye.

He is survived by his mother; sister Shannon Wilson of Cortez; son Tyler Jordan Storey of Howard; nephew Michael Scott Leewaye of Colorado Springs; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. March 9 at Fairview Cemetery.
