Harold Albert Coffman, 60, of Salida, passed away at his residence on Tuesday November 13, 2012 in Salida. He was born February 8, 1952 in Denver to Howard and Viola (Ortega) Coffman.
Harold was a plumber by trade but also worked on the railroad, construction, and did small engine work. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, dancing, gardening, and listening to country music. Harold enjoyed spending time in his shop, always working on projects such as, woodworking making furniture and wooden toys. He enjoyed giving his finished projects to friends and family. Since he was a generous man if he had something to give he would always give it.
Preceded in death by his father Howard Coffman, grandfather Adalph Ortega, brother Rick Coffman and sister Sadie Coffman.
He is survived by his mother Viola Coffman, and sons Gerald (Jessica) Coffman of Grand Junction and Dwayne (Jenna) Coffman of Grand Junction, daughter April (Rodney) Smith of Grand Junction;
brothers Billie (Laura) Coffman of Salida; Alfred Hall of Washington; Bobby Striker of Ohio; Jerry Coffman and sister Rose Nevarez of Denver and hIs godchild Howie Coffman of Salida.
He had six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and was also survived by his best friend and companion Maria Olivia Payne of Salida and her children and grand children which he loved as his family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Friday November 16, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. A potluck dinner will follow the graveside services at St. Joseph Great Hall.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home to help offset burial expenses.
